Step into unknown worlds with us in camp this week! We will explore the mysteries of earth, air, and sea! Be ready to paint, draw, and build your way through these fantastic spaces and places filled with new creatures that only you can imagine! Learn about symbols and cave paintings, use texture and color to create fantastical features on your new creatures; discover artists who also imagined the world of flight and build your own flying boats and ships to outer space or paint a newly discovered undersea garden with new life forms. Come along for the art adventure!
This weeklong lab will move beyond exploring primary and secondary colors, and learn more about split primaries, CMY mixing versus RGB, and even a bit of psychology behind colors! Students will build on these color blending skills throughout the week with materials not limited to soft pastels, colored pencil, ink, dye, and watercolor. By exploring color and different materials, students will learn to paint, collage, and blend with Copic markers. Come explore color!
Is your child passionate about art? Do they want to take their skills to the next level? It may be time for Private Art Lessons at the Art Center!
Private Lessons are available for Youth (ages 6-10) and Young Adults (ages 11-16). Lessons include a set of (4) one-hour sessions with one of our Art Center Instructors. Private lessons are customized to fit each student’s creative interests in drawing and water-based painting mediums. We normally schedule a one-hour lesson once per week for four weeks but we are flexible with scheduling.
How will this work? After you fill out and submit the application, we will have the information we need to pair your child’s interests and availability with an instructor. We will notify you via email about your application and any updates on scheduling. We will get in contact with you at least 1 to 2 weeks before the preferred start date for lessons. Once we confirm dates for all four lessons with both the parent and our instructor, we schedule the student for those dates. We ask that parents provide their children with art supplies for the lessons.
Interested in group Private Lessons? We offer Group Private Lessons for our Youth and Young Adult age ranges. You will be responsible for coordinating availability with other parents and applying for multiple students. These lessons are limited to a maximum of 6 students (who are around the same age). These lessons will also focus on drawing and water-based painting activities.
Private Lesson Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a lesson, we will need 24 hour notice in order to reschedule. There are no refunds after the first lesson.
Payment? We require full payment for private lessons before the first lesson begins.
Individual Private Lessons: 4 one hour sessions for $150
Group Private Lessons: 4 one hour sessions for $150 + $50 per additional student
